Program Officer for The Global Network of Women Peacebuilders and the focal point for Asia. She is responsible for the coordination of GNWP’s Young Women+ for Peace and Leadership Program in Indonesia, Bangladesh, and the Philippines.  Mallika is also involved in strengthening, monitoring, and globally advocating for the implementation of Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) resolutions and the Sustaining Peace Agenda along with improving synergies between CEDAW and WPS reporting.

Mallika graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc in International Relations in 2017. She focused on political economic, public international law, and Southeast Asian security relations. In London, she was actively involved with the United Nations student association and the publication of an academic international affairs journal. As a research assistant for the LSE Department of Management, she sharpened her data collection and analysis skills. Since then, she has contributed as a co-author and data analyst to the GNWP publication titled “Sustaining Peace: Women Civil Society Perspectives” and is currently leading the development of a Toolkit on leadership, literacy, peacebuilding, and economic empowerment based on the training of young women in Bangladesh and Indonesia through GNWP’s Young Women for Peace and Leadership Program.

Prior to joining GNWP, Mallika was as a business analyst for Cognizant Technology Solutions, providing advisory services to clients to guide them through the optimization and digitization of product delivery. She drafted and communicated proposals offering tailored solutions to improve business process efficiency. Mallika also interned at a public-sector consulting firm, Conjunct Consulting, in Singapore, where she evaluated business models and identified inefficient practices to help civil society organizations achieve financial sustainability. She hopes to bring what she learned from the corporate world to civil society organizations.
