2026 Artificial Intelligence in Education
| ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE CLASSROOM This webinar, the first in a series on Artificial Intelligence (AI) hosted by CTAUN, focused on AI in education — how it is being integrated into the classroom at all levels, and the role of the United Nations in its application. Following an overview by an expert from the UN, education practitioners showed different ways in which AI can be used to promote learning skills and increase student engagement. The discussion will include practical examples of AI applications in the classroom, a look at the downsides of AI, and initiatives underway for the creation of “guardrails” to ensure that AI is being used ethically and equitably. The UN has dedicated focal points to address AI and other emerging technologies. As a result, UN Member States have adopted policies to ensure AI is “safe, secure and trustworthy.” The next webinar in this series will be held later this spring.
